The most difficult book to review。 The memories I had with this book are so precious。 The pain of leaving my love in Medina is still and will always be there。 Hence， the delay of this review。 I started reading this book a day before departed to Umrah， continuing to read it on the plane and it also became a witness to the tears I shed when the plane's tires stepped on the land of Madinah。 A few days before leaving for Mecca， I was in my menses。 Apparently， there was nothing I can do in Masjid Nab The most difficult book to review。 The memories I had with this book are so precious。 The pain of leaving my love in Medina is still and will always be there。 Hence， the delay of this review。 I started reading this book a day before departed to Umrah， continuing to read it on the plane and it also became a witness to the tears I shed when the plane's tires stepped on the land of Madinah。 A few days before leaving for Mecca， I was in my menses。 Apparently， there was nothing I can do in Masjid Nabawi except visiting the Maqam and reading this。 The feeling was surreal， i was literally reading a book titled 'Meeting Muhammad' in front of him。 Allahu 😢。 When it was time for the last chapter， the death， I was in flood of tears。 I was in despair， the feeling was so so painful and still is till today。 In short， this book is the text version of Omar Suleiman Youtube Ramadhan series with the same title。 Its an invite for us to start the journey to alight upon his life deeply through his 30 simple narrations。 It covers the physical beauty， emotional property， akhlaq accountability and his exigent life journey。 This book is a must for all of us， if you wanna start your journey of knowing him， pls start with this book。 Highly recommended！ I also recommend this to those who are planning to go for Umrah to read this before you visit him。 Little preparation like this will make your feelings get deepen and more sensitive when you are there！ In sya Allah， sollu a'lan Nabi！ May Allah invite all of us to His Holy Land， Haramain again and again。 Aminnn！ 。。。more

this book was a very easy read， but a great way to connect with the prophet sws。 it brings forth his character using beautiful stories。 Sheikh Omar has a talent in having you live these stories as if u were there。 he will always end a story by discussing it by “imagining if it was you” i really enjoyed this book。 alhamdulillah

{18/2022} 5/5🌟 Non-Fiction | Ramadan Read 3I don’t know where go begin。 There’s so much I want to write， but I don’t know where to begin。 All my life， since I was a little child， I have been exposed and listening to stories about Prophet Muhammad SAW。 However， to be listening and reading about them after I have aged and become an adult， is a whole different story。 I would say， this book would be the reading material or texts to the Youtube series from Yaqeen Institute， also titled “Meeting Muham {18/2022} 5/5🌟 Non-Fiction | Ramadan Read 3I don’t know where go begin。 There’s so much I want to write， but I don’t know where to begin。 All my life， since I was a little child， I have been exposed and listening to stories about Prophet Muhammad SAW。 However， to be listening and reading about them after I have aged and become an adult， is a whole different story。 I would say， this book would be the reading material or texts to the Youtube series from Yaqeen Institute， also titled “Meeting Muhammad”， a special Ramadan series I watched last year。 Imam Omar Suleiman certainly has his special ways of delivering his talks and speeches， I bawled my eyes out while watching。 All our lives， we have been searching for one person to be looked up to， followed his exemplary and often that person ended up to be some philanthropists or celebrities， without even realising that someone had been praying and supplicating for us long time ago even before our existence。 How he yearnly wished to meet us one day。 He was Prophet Muhammad SAW。 Why is it so hard for us to name him as our role model？We know the answer， which could be quite shameful to utter。 Yes， because we can never be like Prophet Muhammad SAW！Muhammad SAW was really one of a kind。 He was such an excellent and eloquent speaker， who possessed perfect and clear articulation。 Despite his utmost high position and rank， never had he used it for his personal gain， so humble was he that he never liked any special reception upon his arrival to the congregations， which is something we never see nowadays。 Oh， I badly want to give examples， but it is Ramadan， astarghfirullahalazim！ Throughout his years of involvement in military combat， he had only killed one person and that was even for his own defense。 His objective in war was always to disarm， never kill。 He was a very generous man eventhough he himself was in need， never gossipped， rarely became angry， easily forgave， and he never lied even while making jokes！ So， tell me， how on earth are we alike to Prophet Muhammad SAW？ Not a single particle。 One thing I really envy was the way Prophet Muhammad SAW performed his ibadah。 During congregation of obligatory prayers， he would always make the prayers simple and short as he knew there would be the elderly， parents with children， or perhaps unwell people as he didn’t want to burden them。 However， he really took his time with his supplementary prayers， even some of his Companions sort of surrendered in following him， and some even thought that he had died due to time he took while in sujood。 I am so ashamed of myself。 This chapter is a must read！ The chapters describing the death of his son， Ibrahim and during his last moments on earth really took my breath away。 Such an exemplary， Prophet Muhammad SAW didn’t want the others to be carried away with sadness with or for him。 Although we can never be like Prophet Muhammad SAW， we can always take and refer to the good examples that he had portrayed。 We can always follow his sunnah。 We can always read and recite the salawat upon Him。 We can always hold on strong to our faith and make du’a to meet him in Jannah。 Why？ Because he is waiting for us。 Insya Allah。 #justreaddontbawang 。。。more
